Space Waitress, Trolley Dolly, Stewardess...everyone has their own term for us. We are the baby-sitters, life-savers, servers, cleaners and all-around problem solvers for any and every in-flight issue. Sometimes we get a bad rep for being apathetic and miserable despite having what looks like a glamorous job, so here's a peek into the gritty details beneath the shiny surface to explain why the job - though incredible in lots of ways - is more than just snappy uniforms and matching luggage.

I was wondering, what subjects should i take in high school as a prerequisite, in order to be a flight attendant because i am moving on year 11 and i live in Australia. This job is my passion and i have been wanting to be FA since i was young.

Did your salary increase through the years? Can you make a comfortable living being a Flight Attendant?

I've just been hired as a new flight attendant and I am guaranteed about 80 hours/month. Is it hard to pick up more trips? The hourly pay is great but that means nothing if I can't work more hours! I'm excited but concerned about being broke

I need a quiet low key place to stay on the water in Florida. No high rise hotels. Any suggestions. Small walk to shops, restaurants, bars.

Last year a friend of mine and I went to Amsterdam with UK lo-co airline. I am 6 feet 8 inches tall and of large build, requiring a seatbelt extension. On the flight home, I was told that I couldn't sit behind the exit. I was seated behind in agony!
