I've officiated football for over 30 years, now in my 26th on the college level. I've worked NCAA playoffs at the Division II and III level. In addition, I've coached at the scholastic level and have been an educator for over 35 years. I have no interest whatsoever in being an NFL official! Ever!

Since the 2 teams with the best record in each conference get a bye the first week of playoffs, would a team that is 2nd in their division and also 2nd in the conference get that bye? Assuming that this year San Fran and Seattle could do just that.

Team A has a FG attempt blocked on 4th down behind the line of scrimmage. Team B picks up the loose ball and returns it but then fumbles, which is recovered by the kicking team. Is it now a 1st down for the kicking team at the new line of scrimmage?

How do NFL referees decide when to stop the clock on an injury? I'm especially referring to when McSorley got hurt at the end of the game just before the 2-minute mark. There was still 9 seconds left. Why wasn't it stopped before the 2-minute mark?
