I deliver pizzas as a part-time, second job. It's a pretty good way to pick up some extra cash. Ask me anything!

Do you like delivering pizza to stoners, and do they ever invite you to join in the festivities?

Asked by yoda about 12 years ago

I personally have found that I love delivering to stoners. Every time I've done so, they pay in cash and usually give me more money than they thought they did. So a $3 tip can turn into a $13 tip really quick. Never been invited to join in, though I would pass if I ever was.

If you show up to a house and the store got an order wrong, do people usually just keep it anyway?

Asked by Ppaul about 12 years ago

Usually unless something is obviously missing from an order like a box of wings or breadsticks, a customer won't notice a wrong order until after I've left. If they notice while I'm there, I'll offer to call the store and have someone bring the missed item, or they can take it off their total. If I've already left, they could call the store. I usually am pretty good about checking my orders before I leave the store, so I don't have this problem too often.

What's the biggest pizza order you've ever delivered?

Asked by sam about 12 years ago

I've only been delivering about 3 months and only part time, so I haven't had a lot of huge orders. Probably $60 or $70 was the biggest so far.

Did you see this story about a $10 tip left on a $1,453 order for 85 pizzas? What do you think would be the right tip for that size order? (the story here: http://yhoo.it/107yzDc)

What do you do with the pizza if the customer doesn't answer the door? (for whatever silly reason; in the shower, phone set to silent mode, tv too loud to hear the knocks on the door.)
