I deliver pizzas as a part-time, second job. It's a pretty good way to pick up some extra cash. Ask me anything!
Pepperoni.
I do use my own car. Pizza Hut does not use the delivery lighted signs on their delivery cars. I've always thought those things should say, "I'm a pizza delivery guy with money. Please rob me."
The way it works at my store is, if it's not there by 30 minutes after the promised time, you can call and get a discount. The operator tells me how much to discount it by and I take it from there. It doesn't cost me anything, except maybe a tip. I don't pay anything on anybody's order.
Yes, actually. My very first night delivering, I went to a house and an older man came to the door and said to bring the pizza in and set it on the table. The way the hallway was situated, I couldn't see into the house and was a little reluctant to go in. When I go around the corner, there's a lady in probably her mid-20's standing by the table wearing only a thong checking her text messages. Very uncomfortable wait for the guy to fill out his credit card slip to say the least.

When do your policies allow you to hang up on a rude caller?Luckily, I haven't been involved in an accident. Unless I just jinxed myself for my next shift with that answer.
I haven't gained any weight due to free pizza since I've been there. I don't eat it all the time, and when I do, it's usually all I eat that day.
I've found that most people tip $3 or $4 no matter the total of the order. Hourly rate is minimum wage while in the store, and $4.45 while out on a delivery.
