Nurse Practitioner

Nurse Practitioner

Code Bell

Boston, MA

Female, 34

I have been in the nursing field for 12 years. I have worked as a RN in an adult medical-surgical unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). I went back to school to obtain my masters and now work as a nurse practitioner in a Pediatric CICU. These kids are sick. The issues can be straightforward or extremely complex. No patient is the same and no day is routine. I am lucky- I love my job (most of the time).

I am on the Depo Provera shot and I just recently took a drug test at my job. Benzo was located in my system. Could it be from my Depo. Because I’m a single mother of two and I’m not on any medication or anything else.

Hey I’m currently on the Depo Provera shot and I recently took a feud test at my job and tested positive for benzo. Is there a possibility that the benzo comes from my birth control. I’m not on any type of medication or anything else.

I am a psychology student interested in mental health and I recently stumbled across the job title "psychiatric nurse practitioner". The problem is, I already have an associates degree in psych. Do I have to start over to get my bachelors in nursing?

Have you ever worked with a doctor or doctors who, no matter how fancy their diplomas, you felt were just flat-out dumb?
